Campus Verification
What the Campus Verified badge means, what we check and how we protect your documents.
What the badge means
'✓ Campus Verified' (shown with your university's short name) means a CampusStay admin checked this person's student ID and spoke with them. It does not mean we checked any government database, and it is not a guarantee about the items or services they offer.
Who can apply
The badge is available to people who hold an approved CampusStay role. They apply from their own dashboard.
What you send
Applicants are asked for ID documents and a short call. The details are shown when you apply.
Your photos are private
Only the admins reviewing your application can see your photos. They are stored privately, never at a public link, and are deleted automatically 30 days after the decision. We keep only the decision, its date and who reviewed it.
Possible decisions
An admin can verify you, ask for more information (you resubmit), or reject with a reason. You can appeal a rejection in the app.
How long it lasts
Campus Verification is valid for 12 months. Sellers may be asked to re-verify earlier if their status changes or verification concerns arise. We remind you before it expires. An admin can revoke it with a reason, and you are told why.
